Our Story

Shore & Surf began the way most good things begin — with a group of friends who were tired of the options. Every surf shop within an hour's drive either treated you like you didn't belong or sold you gear based on margin, not merit. We thought: what if there was a shop where the staff actually surfed? Where every board on the rack was tested by someone who'd paddle out at dawn? Where you could walk in knowing nothing and walk out knowing exactly what you needed? So we built it.

The best surf shop is the one that tells you the truth. Not the truth that sells you the most expensive board — the truth that gets you on the right board for how and where you actually surf. We test every board before it goes on the rack. We write our own conditions reports. We teach lessons because we love watching people catch their first wave, not because it's a revenue stream. The ocean doesn't care about your brand. Neither do we.
